Strawberry Dip
Ingredients: strawberries (with stems), powder sugar, melted chocolate, whipped cream, orange juice (or other flavor)
Procedure:  Wash the strawberries.  Set out dipping bowls with the above ingredients.  Just dip the 
strawberries and enjoy.

   
Fishy Jell-O
Ingredients:  blue colored Jell-O, gummy fish
Procedure:   Mix Jell-O as directed on package.  Let the Jell-O set for a couple of hours or until beginning to thicken.  Add the gummy fish and allow to finish setting.

    
Fruit Shake
Ingredients1/2 cup fruit, 1/2 cup milk, 2 ice cubes, sugar to taste
Procedure:   Prepare the fruit by washing and peeling.  In a blender add all the ingredients except sugar.  Blend until smooth. Add sugar only if necessary.  Fruit is usually sweet, but if your child needs additional sweetness, add a little sugar.
 
   
Fishy Snack
Ingredients:  8 oz cream cheese, blue food coloring, and fish shaped crackers
Procedure:   Mix a few drops of blue food coloring into the cream cheese.  Dip the fish into the food  coloring and eat.

    
Orange Sherbet Drink
Ingredients: 2 ripe bananas,  2 cups orange juice, 2 cups orange sherbet, Ice cubes
Procedure:  Pour all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

   
Trail Mix
Ingredients: cereal (such as Cheerios, Kix, Life, Golden Grahams, etc.), pretzel sticks, fish crackers, small Ritz Bits, raisins, peanuts, etc. Add just about any type of dry ingredient to these items.
Procedure:  Mix well, and place in individual sandwich bags or cups. This is a great snack to take to the park, field trip, or car trip.

 
 
Banana Pops
Ingredients: 5 peeled bananas cut in half, 5 T. brown sugar, and 1 1/4 t. cinnamon, or 5T. honey  and 2 1/2 T. granola
Procedure:  Roll each banana half in either the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture or the honey and granola mixture.  Wrap each half in foil and freeze.

 
 
Granola Fruit Kabobs
 Ingredients:  1 cup granola, 1 medium apple chunked, 1 small banana chunked, 1/2 cup pineapple chunks, 1/2 cup fruit flavored yogurt, lemon juice
Procedure:  Place granola in a shallow bowl. Toss fruit with a small amount of lemon juice to keep from browning.  Poke a toothpick into each piece of fruit.  Dip fruit into yogurt and then roll in the granola.

 
 
 
Berry Smoothie
Ingredients:  1 pint vanilla frozen yogurt, 2 cups sliced berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and/or blueberries),  3/4 cup skim milk
Procedure:  Place all ingredients in blender container and cover.  Blend at medium speed till speed.Pour into glass and enjoy.

 
   
Sand Pudding
Ingredients:  instant vanilla pudding, Nilla wafers
Procedure:   Prepare the vanilla pudding as directed on the box.  Place a few Nilla wafers into a baggie and close. Bang on the bag to crush the Nilla wafers.  Add the wafer crumbs to the pudding.  Stir and enjoy.

   
 
Lemon Smoothie
Ingredients:  1 pint vanilla frozen yogurt, 1/4 cup frozen lemonade concentrate, 3/4 cup skim milk
Procedure:  Place all the ingredients into the blender container and cover.  Blend until smooth.  Pour into glass and enjoy.

 
   
Slushie
Ingredients:  1 package unsweetened Kool-Aid, 2 cups water, 1/2 cup sugar, 4 cups ice
Procedure:  In a blender, combine the Kool-Aid, water, and sugar.  Blend.  Add all the ice at once and blend. Pour into cups and enjoy.

 
   
Fruit Kabob Pattern
Ingredients:  fruit (seedless green grapes, red apples, oranges, plum, banana), wooden kabob sticks with the sharp point snipped off
Procedure:  Cut the fruit into pieces (section the orange, cut apple into wedges, slice the banana, etc.)  Assemble the kabobs using different patterns.  Say orange,  red, yellow, green, purple to describe the fruit.  Together place the fruit on     the kabob stick in the same order.  Take turns saying the colors to make a pattern. For example: Caregiver says, "red" and both of you place a piece of apple onto your sticks.  Then say, "orange" and both of you place an orange section onto your sticks. Enjoy your kabob in-between turns.
